Innovative New Licensing Product Brings Diving to the Casual Visitor and Resorts and Could Spell Big Future for Brownie's Marine Group
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov 28, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- For two months Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG) has had a pilot program running through associate Mr. Dan Volker, who in collaboration with diveshop Pura Vida Divers and beautiful resorts such as the Hilton Ocean Front and the Marriott Vacation Club, all on Singer Island in West Palm Beach, with a new innovative product named Tooka. Interest looks promising.
The Tooka is essentially a sturdy purpose designed patent pending tender holding two scuba tanks that is combined with the patented Peloton hose system and the also patented Brownie's Cumberbelt from the famous Brownie's Third Lung hookah diving system. Using the system divers are completely unencumbered by gear and can dive freely breathing from a surface supplied hose that is clipped onto the tow belt or the Cumberbelt on the diver at one end and connected to the scuba tanks floating in the Tooka on the surface at the other end.
Scuba training agency NASE has taken on the project and is heading up training of instructors for the program that literally will be able to take complete novices to experience diving in matters of just minutes. "The type of 5 Star Resort service of the Tooka experience is so brilliant and works so well as it requires pretty much no knowledge of diving or even of masks and fins for someone to get a beautiful experience of life below the surface", says Dan Volker.
Brownie's Marine Group plan to offer the Tooka system on a licensing basis only and envision the experience to be offered via operators at major resorts and vacation spots. Brownie's Marine Group estimates the market consisting of casual visitors and tourists could be upwards 5 times bigger that of the conventional scuba diving market and believes there are great opportunities to be pursued. "The Tooka system is not a competing system to scuba diving, but rather has the potential of vastly expanding the market well into the ordinary beach goers and family vacation population that conventional scuba has not been able to appeal to. We may also see that those who try the Tooka because of the ease of getting started may eventually feel inspired to convert into becoming scuba divers or continue the free experience with our Brownie's Third Lung Hookah diving system. In other words, this product could be a serious game changer to the entire industry", says Robert Carmichael, CEO of Brownie's Marine Group.
To experience the Tooka readers can contact Pura Vida Divers at 2513 Beach Court, Singer Island, Florida 33404, phone 888.348.3972

Brownie's Marine Group and Pompano Dive Center to Offer VS Third Lung and HDV Scooter Demo's, Training and Snow-Bird Get-Away Dive Adventure Trips
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov 23, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Via the recently established joint venture between Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of highly specialized dive and water safety products and Pompano Dive Center, a leading dive center located at on the Intracostal Waterway a block from the beach just north of Fort Lauderdale on Florida's southeastern coast, serving free-divers, snorkelers, traditional scuba and tech divers seven days a week, VS (battery-powered) Third Lung and Halcyon Dive Vehicle (HDV) demonstrations, training and snow-bird get-away dive adventure trips will be offered.
There is yet a virtually untapped market for the VS Third Lung "hookah" or surface supplied air system consisting of the casual visitor and snorkelers market. A market that is vastly greater than the current scuba diving market. "The VS Third Lung system is the perfect avenue for exploring life under the surface a little further than snorkeling as it is extremely family-oriented and friendly. It removes all the intimidations of conventional scuba diving gear that is usually associated with complex training, refilling requirements, and bulky gear. The VS, however, gives the user an unmatched feeling like snorkeling except without the nuisance of needing to come up for air. Diving the VS can be taught very quickly and effectively and is a one size fits all system that can be perfectly shared among family members or friends", says Robert Carmichael, CEO of Brownie's Marine Group.
"Combining the use of a VS system with the Halcyon HDV scooters takes it all one step further for the experienced diver seeking new adventure. The HDV "scooters" propel the diver effortlessly by means of a tow leash attached to a belt or harness that also combines the VS diver hose and surface supplied air source. The sensation of covering incredible distances in a single dive and taking in scenery and marine life that swimming divers might experience over dozens of dives is exhilarating. ", Robert Carmichael continues.
Demonstrations of the VS and the Halcyon HDV, along with training and snow-bird get-away dive adventure trips can be arranged for at the Pompano Dive Center, located at 101 N. Riverside Dr., Suite 111, Pompano Beach, FL 33062 (phone 954.788.0208)

Brownie's Marine Group's New Technology for Low Temperature Production of Nitrox for Diving Applications Gains Traction
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov 18, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of highly specialized dive and safety products has produced nitrox generation systems for the yachting industry for over eight years. They recently expanded their line of NitroxMakers(TM) to include a new series designed specifically for commercial applications. Recent customers include Micronesian Divers Association in Guam and Ocean Enterprises in San Diego, California, with additional interest in the Cayman Islands and Galapagos Islands.
There is a clear and simple line of distinction between the membrane technology found exclusively in the NitroxMaker(TM) and other membrane based systems. Brownie's Marine Group's NitroxMaker(TM) produces permeate product (nitrox) at or close to ambient temperature.
Competitor devices are typically heated to 120-135 degrees F to reach efficient production. Unfortunately, the heat from the membrane may be retained by the permeate and passed into the intake port of the high-pressure compressor. Most high-pressure compressor manufacturers restrict intake temperatures to 100-105 degrees F. Ingestion of gas at elevated temperatures can lead to multiple problems including accelerated wear of the compressor seals and lubrication and drastically reduced filtration processing capacity.
Most purifier performance data is calculated at 70 degrees F and when viewed on an inlet temperature scale at 100 degrees F, roughly a 50% reduction results. Taking the inlet temperature into the 100-135 degrees F range reduces the efficiency much further. The reason is that the mechanical moisture separators (ACD) work most efficiently with a higher temperature gradient factor in-between compression stages (15-20 degree drop between each stage in the coil, prior to the ACD). When the inlet temperatures reach beyond 100 degrees F, the ACD systems are rendered inefficient, in higher ranges they are also highly un-predictable. The result is that moisture laden in air as a vapor, does not condense to a solid in a duration cycle long enough (cooling coils purpose) sufficient to be captured as bulk solid H2O in the condensate drains and subsequently pass directly into the chemical dryer media (first element in the purifier cartridge; typically designed to manage less than several percent of the water load).
"So, in a nutshell, the old-technology is very different than our "low-temperature" NitroxMaker(TM) and destined to become obsolete", says Mr. Robert Carmichael, CEO of Brownie's Marine Group and continues, "The added benefit of the world-leading Kaeser Rotary Screw/Dryer/Control unit as the mechanical workhorse in our turn-key systems provides substantial value as well."
The NitroxMaker(TM) produces nitrox at much lower energy consumption than typical other methods. As Mr. Carmichael puts it: "To gain a real-time understanding of the electrical cost of operation, consider that the NitroxMaker(TM) consumes slightly less energy than the comparable systems core compressor and then they must add the heater element to that usage factor. Across the board, our system will always be more efficient."
With a target of 1700 recreational dive shops in the US alone and the unanimous embracement of nitrox by essentially all leading edge recreational divers as the preferred breathing gas, the market potential is obvious. Brownie's Marine Group's goal of providing a seamless nitrox fill station solution that eliminated the need to handle pure oxygen (a time consuming and often expensive and dangerous method of making nitrox) is now becoming apparent to the masses. Stated by Mr. Carmichael: "We are proud to be in a category of our own as the only membrane technology that does not violate the engineering design principals of the leading compressor systems worldwide. Our NitroxMaker(TM) is the only true plug-n-play nitrox generation system available today."

Brownie's Marine Group Publishes Instructional Videos on Proprietary Garment Integrated Personal Flotation Device Typically Used With Body Armor
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov 18, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of highly specialized dive and safety products has made available instructional videos on how to repackage it's unique highly low profile garment integrated personal flotation device -- the GI-PFD. As the device is often used in connection with body armor, the company has also made available videos that seek to answer some of the common questions such as on what types of e.g. body armor the device fits and also demonstrations of how the device does not interfere with the users' preferred personal configuration of other gear.
The specially designed garment integrated personal flotation device is designed purposefully so it can be worn during any waterborne operation, including maritime airborne operations, onboard vessels of all sizes included tenders and smaller RIBs and at any other work places near water. With its very small profile the device avoids interference with users' movement or comfort in action, line of sight, ability to operate, function and carry other equipment ranging from radios and other communication devices, weapons, tools and other tactical gear configuration.
The GI-PFD uniquely offers 42-lbs of effective flotation directed at stabilizing the head in a "nose/mouth out of water" position. The device can be packaged so as to inflate automatically when in contact with water or to be manually inflated for situations in which user is likely to be operating in or out of water. Once inflated the GI-PFD can be adjusted to change the amount of freeboard and it also has an oral inflator allowing the user to keep the device topped off during extended stays in the water.
Currently the device is produced only in black, but Brownie's Marine Group will consider producing in custom colors depending on order size. Similarly custom changes can be made to choice of buckles and potentially materials used. The device fits most if not all types of body armor and can be attached in minutes and takes up very little space in areas typically not utilized for equipment placement.

Brownie's Marine Group Products Featured in the Biggest Boating Store in the U.S.: The West Marine Superstore That Opened Up This Week
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov 17, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- For many years Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of highly specialized dive and safety products has had a great collaboration with several West Marine Stores, especially throughout Florida. This collaboration expanded effectively with the soft opening of the biggest boating store in the U.S., the new West Marine Superstore located at 2401 S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 earlier this week.
To celebrate the opening West Marine is offering coupons worth $15 off your next purchase of $100 or more (certain conditions apply). To receive a coupon go to this link: West Marine Superstore Coupon.
In further and related news, Brownie's CEO, Mr. Robert Carmichael, recently had the chance to visit with several other West Marine stores along his route from the two recent Annapolis Boat Shows at which Brownie's Marine Group exhibited, including stores located outside Florida. It is expected that Brownie's Marine Group representations will soon open up in these too in foreseeable future.
Mr. Carmichael intentionally made the trip to the two Annapolis Boat Shows by car so he could bring with him full load of the incredibly well received new Brownie's VS Thing Lung Systems and so that he could visit with new potential dealerships on the way back to Fort Lauderdale. These visits proved promising for soon to come point of sales of Brownie's Marine Group products. Incidentally the full load of the VS Third Lung systems sold out at the Annapolis Boat Shows.

Leading Developers and Manufacturers Brownie's Marine Group Inc. and Triton Submarines LLC Team Up in Strategic Partnership
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov 16, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Building on previous years' collaboration, Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of highly specialized dive and safety product and Triton Submarines a leading manufacturer and developer of submarines teamed up as strategic partners at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIPS) where the new 3300/3 Triton Submarine was introduced and the Brownie's VS was showcased.
Interest for the unexplored realm of the world below the surface is rapidly growing and these two products present some of the best avenues available for doing so. The VS is the new revolutionary all battery-powered surface supplied air diving system that Brownie's has spent three years developing. This is the ultimate diving system particularly suited for the family and recreational diving. The system vastly surpasses every performance compared with other battery-powered systems on the market and comes at a price point often lower than systems it is often compared to.
The Triton 3300/3 met its first introduction at the FLIBS this year (Image above shows the 3300/2 Triton). It has been specially designed to be able to take 3 passengers in utmost comfort to a depth of just about 3300 feet. The special design makes for essentially panoramic view from comfortable sitting position in air conditioned climate at pressure equal to the pressure we have at the surface, thus eliminating any need for decompression. The submarine comes with easy maneuvering handled with a joy stick and touch-screen controls and its size and dimensions have been specially designed by probably the most experienced submarine team to be able to be usable with private yachts. The special design also allows for entry and exit of passengers resting on the surface, where as many other designs require the submarine to be hoisted up onto the deck of a vessel, an operation that takes a considerable amount of extra time and expense.
The visitors at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show showed great interest in both products and several Brownie's VS were sold and several highly interested potential clients signed up for upcoming demonstrations of the Triton submarine. Brownie's Marine Group Enters Into Joint Venture With Pompano Dive Center
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct 17, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of highly specialized dive and safety products, announced today that it had entered into joint venture arrangement with Pompano Dive Center ("PDC") in Pompano Beach, Florida.
The joint venture will place Brownie's unique and highly innovative dive systems in one of the most active boating and diving communities in the country. The Pompano Dive Center will also act as a training and demonstration site for Brownie's products; PDC also offers complete SCUBAPRO and HALCYON product display and service. Alongside the retail store, PDC owns and operates several dive boats in Pompano Beach, Florida at the Sands Harbor Marina on the Intracoastal Waterway at the intersection with Atlantic Boulevard and within view of the beach. A classroom for training divers on Brownie's dive systems enhances the value of the PDC joint venture for Brownies and diving enthusiasts.
Robert Carmichael, CEO, stated: "We are enthusiastic about the potential of adding another great exposure point and the first full-time experience center to our vertically integrated plan. The new battery powered 'VS' dive system is causing many boating enthusiasts to embrace hookah diving as their primary dive method. The outstanding performance and convenience of the VS dive system is making hookah diving mainstream. We believe that the VS will provide a boost to the more mature SCUBA industry by bringing in new divers. The relationship with PDC will provide in-water instruction and demonstration dives. The adage 'OTIWATO' (One Test Is Worth a Thousand Opinions) rings particularly true as we witness snorkelers and veteran scuba divers alike, return from their first VS experience, they are amazed at the sensation of minimal gear, incredible performance, and great mobility."
Mr. Carmichael continued: "To further increase our sales force skill, the Pompano Dive Center will serve as the training and demonstration site for Brownie's Marine Group dealers and distributors globally. Here we will invite new and current dealers to test our groundbreaking technology as we shape the new sports category of recreational hookah diving. In a sense, this is a coming home for Brownies. Brownie's originated as a company in Pompano Beach in 1969. It is fitting that a new chapter for our company begins here."
Jeremy Jarosky, Pompano Dive Center CEO stated: "I would like to echo Robert's enthusiasm, as we have long admired the commitment to quality at Brownies Marine Group. We are proud to be a part of the Brownie's Team and look forward to adding significant visibility to diving and the underwater world and making it more accessible to everyone."

Brownie's Marine Group to Present at Both United States Sailboat and Powerboat Shows
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sep 27, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributer of highly specialized dive and safety products, announced today that it will be exhibiting at the Annapolis, Maryland based "United States Sail and Powerboat shows". Now in its 42nd year, the United States Sailboat Show, October 6 - 10, 2011, attracts more than 50,000 boating enthusiasts from around the world to the waterfront of historic Annapolis, Maryland. The Chesapeake Bay town is also home of the U.S. Naval Academy and recognized worldwide as the premier sailing showcase to buy or sell products. The Sailboat Show is followed by the United States Powerboat Show, October 13-16, 2011. Both shows are the oldest and largest, new in-water boat shows in the world.
Robert Carmichael, Brownie's CEO commented "Our products are unique and ideally suited to the needs of the family boater and yachtsmen alike. We tested the waters at the 2010 shows in Annapolis and learned that our new VS battery powered invention will fill a void for the cruising yachtsmen that call the Chesapeake Bay home. We believe that many consider our recreational device as a necessary tool for weekly pre-race hull maintenance and a voyage-saver for the long hauls to the Caribbean and beyond. Last year, we arrived with a single sample of each model of the VS. This year we intend to take orders and deliver product. This is another important step to moving our formidable technology investments in front of those that want or in this case, need our inventions."
At both venues, Brownie's will also be presenting the patented Kon-Tiki Royal "Type-1/SOLAS PFD"; the first life vest on the world market to meet both the new International Convention of Safety of Life at Sea ("SOLAS") MSC.200(80); and the United States Coast Guard Type-1 stringent performance requirements. http://www.browniesmarinegroup.com/public-safety-life-jackets/kon-tiki-royal.

Brownie's Marine Group Announces First Full-Line Dealership in California
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sep 26, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG?), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributer of highly specialized dive and safety products, announced today that Ocean Enterprises("OE") of San Diego (http://www.oceanenterprises.com/ ) has agreed to become the first "full-line" stocking dealer of Brownie's unique dive systems in California. The strategic partnership arrangement will include Brownie's Third Lung and Yacht-Pro tank fill systems.
Robert Carmichael, Brownie's CEO commented "After years of tuning our product offerings to ideally suit the needs of family boaters and the yacht diving enthusiast, we are happy to begin replicating our South Florida results in one of the other prime yachting zones of the country. Adding our product and integration support resources to a very capable "scuba" store is a recipe for success. We believe most scuba stores rely on "student based" revenues, broadening the offering to include our yacht diving and Third Lung products will significantly increase the revenue efficiencies beyond the scope of traditional scuba sales. The high visibility and professionalism of Ocean Enterprises and Werner and Mrya Kurn is a great way to kick off the entry of Brownie's into Southern California and the new yachting season."
Founded in June 1979, OE is considered by many professionals in the dive industry to be one of the top 10 dive centers in the United States. For over 30 years, OE has offered Scuba Diving Classes, Travel and professional equipment sales and service. Ocean Enterprises is also a Professional Association of Diving ("PADI") Career Development Center fully licensed to train "PADI" dive instructors.
Mr. Carmichael further commented, "The Yacht-Pro scuba tank fill product line and the patent-pending VS battery powered dive units require key exposure points around the globe in order to realize full market potential."
Mr. Carmichael concluded, "We also recognize the power of familiarizing new dive professionals with our unique products. The dive instructor is often regarded as the single most influential factor in molding divers' buying habits. We realize most dive instructors have never been diving on a Brownie's Third Lung dive system and see this as an added opportunity with the OE partnership. We believe training dive instructors on the excellent attributes of the new VS battery-powered dive system will steadily build new market share for our brand, while filling the void between snorkeling and scuba diving."

Brownie's Marine Group Announces VS Dive System Plans
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 21, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributer of highly specialized dive and safety products, announced today the start of a new campaign to inform the consumer, outdoor sports, dive and marine industry about the great user benefits and market potential of the patent-pending "VS" / variable-speed, battery powered dive system.
The VS technology is the world's first floating, battery-powered hookah system capable of supporting multiple divers to legitimate recreational depths for substantial run-times and thanks to the patent-pending, instant-change battery feature, provide the ability to dive all day.
Hookah diving is the easiest form of diving beyond simple snorkeling. Industry estimates range from 100's to thousands of snorkelers for each active SCUBA diver. The VS directly bridges the gap between the entry level snorkeling and mature sport of SCUBA diving. Hookah diving success has previously been limited by resistance to handling gasoline powered devices and/or extremely limited performance battery-powered options. Divers and boaters who prefer not to store and handle gasoline now have a cleaner and greener option for hookah diving down to real sport depths.
Based on the same compressor principles as Brownie's world famous gas-powered systems, the VS Electric systems provide a smooth supply of air for up to 3 divers. The magic is in the variable speed control system that automatically adjusts the running speed of the compressor to synchronize with the breathing demand of the divers. The compressor speed ranges from zero to speeds up to 10% greater than the gasoline systems. Electric operation is cleaner and appealing in so many ways to a much broader consumer base.
You can expect run times of 60-90 minutes on a fully charged conventional battery set. You can instantly extend your diving day by swapping to a second set of batteries; thanks to the patent-pending quick-change battery feature. The batteries are changed in just a few seconds - no tools or connections required.
Robert Carmichael, Brownie's CEO commented "in my 31-years at Brownie's, this is the most exciting invention we have ever developed for the broad consumer market. Since taking the helm in 1985, I have kept focus on the goal of a alternative power source system that would delivery solid performance, ergonomic feasibility and ease of use at a reasonable price point, as a constant goal."
Mr. Carmichael went onto say, "The advent of modern, energy efficient, battery-powered, components into the mainstream of industry is now allowing us to deliver this great technology and move onto creating an entire new sports category; Recreational Surface Supply Diving (RSSD). To the benefit of the entire sport of diving, RSSD will broaden user participation volumes by simply making diving easier and more accessible to the general public. The VS technology is the start to the emergence of this trend, much like the rejuvenation the snow board device caused in winter sports. Our long-term objective is to make the 'VS' the easiest to use and feature rich, advanced consumer dive technology system available.
Mr. Carmichael concluded, "We have already generated a significant backlog for the battery-powered VS dive systems as direct result from exhibiting at the recent consumer shows. Enhancing our invention with modern communication, data-collection, propulsion, and navigation; and moving the technology to an efficient production line configuration are immediate goals that are being implemented now."

Brownie's has revealed its plans for a state-of-the-art facility that combines expert services, training, travel and equipment sales in an interactive venue designed to appeal to a broad range of water sports enthusiasts, as well as the general public who may want to become involved and more knowledgeable about outdoor sports.
Brownie's Marine Group Chairman and CEO Robert Carmichael commented on the significance of the Adventure Center by saying, "The dive industry's greatest challenge is effectively conveying the incredible reward that all forms of underwater activity have to offer. Other great outdoor sports have the benefit of televised and competitive exposure to attract new participants, and while we share the same quest for adventure, underwater sports are often overlooked. Brownie's Adventure Center is designed to generate a natural interest from those involved in all things outdoor, providing us with the opportunity to turn curiosity into participation, potentially stimulating an entire new customer base."
Mr. Carmichael further stated, "We believe our Adventure Center Concept will work well in many venues, both domestically and internationally. Our intention is to create an environment and destination of choice where the consumer can have 'fun' in a relaxed environment and where our products, expertise and innovation are prominently displayed."

Brownie's Marine Group Introduces Variable Speed Diving Systems
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brownie's (OTC Bulletin Board: BWMG) has recently introduced a variety of eco-friendly variable speed electric diving systems using patent-pending technology that provides a versatile and efficient solution for the recreational diver and their families.
This new approach utilizes a variable speed controller to adjust the compressor speed to match the divers demand for air thereby roughly doubling the depths attainable by the existing electric systems of the competition. This, in turn, results in a considerable energy savings over conventional fixed speed devices by reducing the running speed when the demand is low and increasing when the need is high.
The systems may be AC powered for boat installations or land-based operations or DC powered for use as a floating or remotely portable system. The battery powered systems feature a "quick change" design which allows the rapid exchange of batteries without tools.
The electric motor produces about 40-50% less noise than the gasoline powered units and has no carbon emissions.
For a limited time, the company is offering the units at a promotional price and offering an extended warranty to spur sales of the new technology. For more information, visit www.browniesmarinegroup.com and view the Variable Speed Diving Systems.

Latest Brownie’s Products Displayed at 14 West Marine Locations
“Top Brownie Dealer’s reporting robust demand”
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – July 7th, 2011 – Brownie’s Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB: BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributer of highly specialized dive products, announced today that the Company has begun the process of fulfilling purchase orders for display and inventory of the Company’s traditional world-class family-dive systems and the Patent-Pending “VS” battery-powered Hookah. The orders were received from Brownie’s top dealers, including West Marine, Divers-Direct and Yachtdiver, some of the nation’s largest specialty retailers of marine supplies and accessories. In addition, the Brownie’s selection of products will be prominently displayed in 14 of West Marine’s key locations.
The fulfillment of these orders marks the retail launch of the Company’s Battery-Powered Hookah (VS/Variable Speed) System, the world’s first high-performance and easy to use Battery-Powered dive system with more than twice the depth and run-time performance of the foreign competitors. “I am encouraged by our recent sales order trend with our top-level dealers, and feel that our efforts to strengthen our dealer program have provided us with the opportunity to introduce our VS System to a much broader consumer base,” stated Robert Carmichael, Chairman and CEO of Brownie’s Marine Group. “We believe that the battery-powered devices are considerably more appealing to the average consumer, and are confident that the VS System will receive positive feedback from the dive community.”
Initial deliveries have been made on these orders and Brownie’s expects to continue shipments without delay, achieving the Company’s primary goal of decreased delivery time. “I am proud to say that Brownie’s is making significant advances towards accomplishing some of our principal business goals,” Carmichael went on to say. “The previously announced working capital is beginning to lower our cost of sales, and ultimately decrease delivery times on our orders. Reduction in our delivery time jump-starts the steady stream of revenue needed to continue developing, creating and providing the most cutting-edge dive products available.”

Brownie’s Launches Strategic Acquisition Plan With Letter of Intent to Acquire U.S. 1 Scuba, Inc.
Jun 29, 2011 (ACCESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Brownie's Marine Group (OTC Bulletin Board: BWMG), a leading designer and distributor of recreational diving products, today announced that it has entered into a non-binding letter of intent to purchase the real estate and substantially all of the assets of U.S. 1 Scuba Inc., a traditional owner/operator "SCUBA" store located in Pompano Beach, Florida. The transaction is expected to close on or before July 30, 2011. Capt Pete Pallota has owned and operated the store for more than 30 years as a classic dive training center and SCUBAPRO ("JOUT": NASDAQ) retailer. This acquisition will mark the first step in the implementation of the strategic plan for Brownie's Marine that will expand its offerings to serve a larger customer base. Pompano Beach currently has 6 dive stores servicing an active SCUBA community and zero Brownie representation.
"We are thrilled to be adding US 1 Scuba to the Brownie's Group. This acquisition gives Brownie's the ability to prove its vertically integrated model and demonstrate that offering diving solutions at every level will create sufficient margins to initiate a paradigm shift in these niche markets," commented Robert Carmichael, Chairman and CEO of Brownie's Marine Group. "Expanding our suite of products, training and adventure travel to a broader range of outdoor sports enthusiasts will create an improved experience for the consumer, and provide multiple revenue streams for our company that are well beyond those that typical dive stores depend on," said Mr. Carmichael.
From entry-level family hookah dive systems to the world-record holding Halcyon product line, the Brownie suite of offerings includes the "YachtPro™" compressors and the patented, Brownie exclusive, NitroxMaker™ scuba tank fill system for yachts and dive operators. "Showcasing these diving solutions in operation at our own stores conveys the ease and simplicity to yacht-owners and leading dive operators that our business model keys on," added Carmichael. Additionally, Brownie's stores will offer a smart selection of Stand-Up-Paddle Boards and several other emerging sports products. Creating attractions to drive non-divers and other outdoor sports enthusiast into Brownie's dealer and company owned stores is a key company objective.
"We believe this is the first of many in a series of strategic acquisitions and developments that will enable us to acquire quality assets, diversify the business offerings/profile of Brownie's, and substantially increase shareholder value."

Brownie's Provides Business Update; Announces Recent Closing of Approximately $400,000 in New Capital
|
|
|
May 24, 2011, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Brownie's Marine Group (OTC Bulletin Board: BWMG) today provided a business update for its investors and interested parties.
Brownie’s Marine Group is comprised of three highly specialized dive product groups. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Company has grown from a garage based business in the late 1960s, to an industry leading manufacturing and distribution company. The Company serves middle income boat owners, higher income yacht owners, recreational divers, military operators and public safety personnel.
The Company holds numerous patents and enjoys a robust product development and intellectual property program that has yielded several proprietary products. Many of these products and innovations have become the “standard” for the marine industry. The Company is known for its meticulous devotion to detail, high quality production and design ingenuity. In the boating and diving community, Brownie’s is known as the market leader when it comes to surface supplied “Third Lung” dive systems and Scuba Tankfill Systems for yacht-based diving. Brownie’s products and support service divers at all levels of the underwater world, from shallow-water dive systems to deep-water mixed gas support systems for exploration divers and submariners.
Robert Carmichael, Brownie’s Chairman and CEO stated, “Over the last few months, we have received approximately $400,000 in capital from investors principally in the form of convertible debentures. It is very encouraging that we have added business partners who see the vision for our Company. This capital infusion has helped to significantly improve our liquidity and future business outlook. The new funding will first support the growing demand for the new products by enabling us to increase inventories to sufficient levels necessary to narrow the gap between orders and fulfillment”.
Carmichael further added, “We believe that the interest generated by the exposure of our new products through trade shows during 2010 and early 2011 validates our new technologies, pricing plan and best in class dealer program. Orders for our core products within the current, calendar quarter are up significantly over same period in 2010. This trend, combined with our entry into the broader boating consumer market with our new Variable Speed Battery-Powered dive systems, is indicative of the potential for our products.”
In 2010, Brownie’s introduced the first in a series of patent-pending Variable Speed Electric Third Lung devices engineered to conserve energy while delivering performance to the diver up to 3-times that of the nearest competitor.
